Robert “Bob” E. Sorrell
84, of Eaton, went to be with the Lord, Monday, December 14, 2020 surrounded by his family.
He was born August 23, 1936 in Dixon Township to the late Leroy and Anna (Coy) Sorrell.
Bob is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Kay; daughter, Penny (Mark); son, Clint (Jill); grandchildren, Kyle (Denise), Clay (Brigitte), Mollie (Nick), Mandy (Steve), and Jacob (Chelsea); 13 great grandchildren; brother, Riley (Linda); brother-in-law, Dean; and numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
He had been a full-time, Preble County farmer, who enjoyed raising hogs, a heavy-equipment operator and foreman for Walter Fullmer, and a security guard for Lakengren. Bob was an avid sports fan, playing softball and coaching, and watching his kids and grandkids playing sports. He enjoyed fishing with friends and family, especially in Alabama and Tennessee among other states and in Canada, and was a member of the Camden UMC. Family was his #1 priority and if you were a friend, he thought of you as family.
Services will be private due to the Covid-19 pandemic at BALES’ FUNERAL HOME, Camden with Brody Rike officiating. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date.
In honor of the life of Bob, donate to a Church or the charity of your choice.
