Larry “Pete” Reed

80, of West Alexandria, suddenly passed away to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 28, 2021.

He was born November 21, 1941 in Miamisburg, to the late James L. and Louise (Kline) Reed.

In addition to his parents, Pete was preceded in death by his sister and brother-in-law, Gale and Joe Stanton; grandson, Shane Bevington; and nephew, Ryan Reed.

He is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Pamela Reed; children, Adriane (Chuck Galliher) Mitchell, Chaise (Kylie) Stanton, Sarah Risner, Kari Goins, Jill (Mike) Miller, and Jason (Jenny) Reed; grandchildren, Katie Reason, Kenton Reason, Morgan Reason, Brittany (Brandon) Harrison, Cheyenne (Walter) Mitchell, Ellie Reed, Bryce Reed, Kylie Goins, Hailey Risner, Madison Miller, Karlie Miller, David Galliher, Joseph Galliher, Olivia Galliher, Della Little, and Winston Galliher; numerous great grandchildren; brother, Rick (Marilyn) Reed; nephew, James (Kristi Hamlin) Reed; and special niece and nephews, Landon, Brooke, Logan, and Little Joe Stanton.

Pete had been a millwright and retired from Appleton Paper.  He enjoyed farming and tractors, and had a great love for horses and cattle, and watching his grandchildren show at the Preble County Fair.   Pete played in a band named The Decades for 30 years. He played on the American Bandstand, and he and his band members made a record titled “She's Neat.”

The family will have a Gathering of Friends at The Garden Church, 1950 E Main St, Eaton, OH 45320 on Saturday, December 4 from 3-5PM with a service to begin at 5PM with Pastor Brian Harry officiating.
