Henry "Hank" Stephenson Obituary

Henry “Hank” Stephenson

63, of Bath, Indiana formerly Hamilton, rode into the sunset on Thursday, June 30, 2022.

He was born February 3, 1959 in Hamilton to the late David and Irene (Fisher) Stephenson.

In addition to his parents, Hank was preceded in death by his daughter, Cindy Prows; brother, Leroy Stephenson; and cousin, Jerry Cecil.

He is survived by his wife of 15 years, Becky Stephenson; sons, Beau Stephenson and Ian Witt; sister, Susan Messer; mother-in-law, Brenda Thomas; sister-in-law, Noel Lakes; and numerous family and friends.

Hank was a country boy at heart, telling stories of working on his uncle’s farm when he was young. He served as an MP in the United States Army. He was a certified scuba diver, member of S.A.S.S. (Single Action Shooting Society), member of the American Legion and a lifetime member of The Eagles. He worked for Intermec Media Products for 25 years and part-time in the hunting department at Bass Pro from 2008-2015. He enjoyed watching westerns and was John Wayne’s biggest fan. He loved riding his Harley and participated in countless runs to help raise money for many causes.  He loved his country and was a proud supporter of the 2nd Amendment.  He fought cancer and won in 2021. When he wasn’t smoking meats to feed his family and friends, you could find him drinking a Miller Lite at his favorite local watering hole, Kegger’s, where he likely told many tall tales, jokes and simply enjoying those around him.
