Fred E. Bendel

74, of Camden, passed away Sunday, October 2, 2022.

He was born April 18, 1948 in Middletown to the late Richard C. Sr. and Mildred Jean (Rutledge) Bendel.

In addition to his parents, Fred was preceded in death by his brother, Richard Bendel, Jr.

He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Darlene Bendel; son, Jeremy "Bud" (Jennifer) Bendel; daughter, Jacquline "Toots" (Alan) Eickelberger; grandchildren, Jolene, Jaron, Will, and Hannah; siblings, Dr. Virginia (Chuck) Bendel-Draa, Joe (India) Bendel, and John (Tom) Bendel.

Fred was a proud veteran of the U.S. Army serving in Vietnam with the 25th Infantry.  He retired as the Building and Electrical Inspector after 22 years from Preble County.  Fred had been a farmer who enjoyed being outdoors hunting and fishing.  Spending time with his family and grandkids gave him the most enjoyment in life.

Services will be private with burial with military honors at Fairmount Cemetery, Camden.
