Everett Douglas Taulbee

73, of Camden, sadly left this earth on August 22, 2023, after bravely fighting cancer for the past year and a half.

He will be missed by his wife of 42 years, Sandi; his children, Amy (Tony Smith) Fox, Rebecca Anderson, Jennifer Taulbee and Shane Taulbee. He also leaves behind the grandchildren he treasured, Myranda (Mark) Moses, Mackenzie (Ben) Marcum, Cherrybomb (Jacob Miller) Fox, Vaun Taulbee, and Samantha Anderson; as well as great-grandchildren, Micah, Zaedyn, Mavery and Zariah. He is also survived by his sister, Verna Smith; his brother David (Sherry) Taulbee; brother-in-law, Rodney Personette; and the mother of his children, Fay Milliron; as well as several nieces, nephews, and many friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Grace Taulbee; sister, Lois Personette; brother, Granvel Taulbee; and his in-laws, Forrest and Helen Shepard.

Everett was born in Canal City, Kentucky and raised in Gratis Ohio, where he went to school.  He is a veteran of the Vietnam war where he served as a specialist in the US Army and after the war, he made a career at Champion International. He was an avid fan of Preble Shawnee Football and Basketball, Nascar, and The Ohio State Buckeyes. He was president of Gratis F.O.E. #4289, a member of American Legion in Camden as well as the V.F.W. and was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Camden.

The visitation will be Friday, August 25 from 11AM to 1PM at BALES FUNERAL HOME, Camden. The funeral service will begin at 1PM with Pastor Greg Jackson of First Southern Baptist Church in Camden officiating. Everett will receive full military honors at graveside, when he reaches his final resting place of Fairview Cemetery in Gratis, Ohio.
