Doris N. (Newman) Null

December 9, 1945 ~ October 12, 2020 (age 74)

Obituary

Doris N. Null

age 74, of Morning Sun, Ohio, died Monday, October 12, 2020 at home after a many year battle with Alzheimer’s and Parkinson Disease.

She was born on December 9, 1945 in Virginia to Ralph and Reba Newman.  Doris married her high school sweetheart, Donald Leroy Null on August 24, 1963.

She worked for Oxford View Nursing Center for 32 years as their Housekeeping/Laundry Supervisor, and took pride in her work and her staff.  She only had 2 state deficiencies in those 32 years, and when she received these 2, she immediately went and corrected the problem.  After she left Oxford View Nursing Center, Doris worked for Hueston Woods State Park on their cleaning crew.

She loved sewing and crocheting and was so proud of herself when she learned how to hide her knots like an Amish Lady.  Doris loved her family and would do anything for them.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Roy Newman, Helen Newman, Herb Newman, and Loretta Baker.

Doris is survived by her husband of 57 years, Donald L. Null; daughters, Donna (BJ) Koons and Tracy (Billy) Havens-Jahosky; 4 grandchildren, Donovan Havens, Jarred Havens, Tyler Jahosky, and Amanda Jahosky; sisters-in-law; and many nieces, nephews, and close friends.

The family will receive friends Friday, October 16 from 11AM to 1PM at BALES’ FUNERAL HOME, Camden, with the funeral service beginning at 1PM.  Burial will follow at Beechwood Cemetery, Morning Sun.
