Her life changed in 1956 when her first daughter was born. Motherhood took over her life and she served in various positions such as home room mother, band parent, and Girl Scout Leader.  Yolonda served as the Librarian at the Camden Branch of the Preble County District Library retiring in 1996 having worked there since 1974. She enjoyed volunteering at the Camden Archives and felt strongly that the history of Camden be preserved for future generations. In addition, she enjoyed working the election polls and served as judge for Somers Township for many years.  Yolonda was a charter member of First Southern Baptist Church of Camden which was founded in 1951. Yolonda enjoyed gardening, canning and cooking. As much as she enjoyed all of these things, her greatest joy came from spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. You would find her on the sideline watching and cheering them on as they played in their various sports, in their 4-H careers and any activities they were involved in.
