Sandi Deaton

66 of West Elkton, went to be with the Lord Saturday, September 19, 2026.

She was born November 15, 1959, in Middletown to her parents Laban and Pearl (Engle) Johnson.

Sandi was preceded in death by her mom, Pearl Johnson, and brother, Carl Johnson.

She has survived by her dad Laban Johnson; loving husband of 33 years Scott Deaton; children, Andrea Johnson and Billy (Ronni) Johnson; grandchildren Jasper Justice, Lincoln Brown, Owen Johnson, and Ivy Johnson; siblings, Joy (Ken) Adams and Darren (Tavy) Johnson; and many beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.

Sandi had a gift for turning simple things into something beautiful. With a needle, thread, and a patient heart, she created quilts and crafts that became treasured heirlooms in the homes of family and friends. Every stitch was placed with care, and every quilt carried a little piece of Sandi's warmth. Those who received one knew they were wrapped in more than fabric. They were wrapped in love.

Her talent didn't stop at the sewing table. Sandi's kitchen was the heart of her home, and no one ever left it hungry. Whether she was baking a favorite dessert, preparing a Sunday meal, or sending someone home with a plate "for later," she showed her love through food. Her recipes and her generosity will be remembered at every table she ever set.

Sandi's faith was the foundation of her life. She dearly loved her church family at Lighthouse Baptist Church, where she found fellowship, strength, and joy. When she was able, she lifted her voice in the choir, singing praises with a spirit that touched all who heard her. Her faith was never loud, but it was steady, and it showed in the way she cared for others.

A visitation will be held Friday, September 25 from 12PM to 3PM at Lighthouse Baptist Church, 7085 Gratis Jacksonburg Road, Camden, Ohio 45311. At a later date, she will be inurned at Fairmound Cemetery, West Elkton.
