Robert “Bob” Burt, Sr.

85, of Camden, went Home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, June 26, 2024.

He was born March 17, 1939, in Chillicothe, to the late Harold Vernon and Jane A. (Norton) Burt.

In addition to his parents, Bob was preceded in death by his sisters, Kaye Oney and Gari Lynn Burt.

He is survived by his wife, Valerie Burt; children, Debbie Burt, Robbie (Penny) Burt Jr., and Andy (Lisa) Meadors; grandchildren, Heather (Sean) Yenser, Nathan (April) Burt, Christopher (Tara) Burt, Lizzie Meadors, and Zack and Megan Meyers; great grandchildren, Maddy and Breylan Yenser, and Mason Burt; siblings, Jimmy Burt, R. Keith (Willene) Burt, Dennis (Bonnie) Burt, Karla (Don) Beverly, Kevin (Beverly) Burt; mother-in-law, Carol Rader; and beloved pet, Bubby.

Known for his zest for life and love of adventure, Bob's spirit soared in the great outdoors. Whether he was camping along the picturesque banks of Crystal River in Florida, exploring the enchanting trails of Hocking Hills in Ohio, or cruising the waters of Lake Cumberland in Kentucky, Bob found joy in nature's embrace.

A true thrill-seeker at heart, Bob felt most alive when he was riding his Harley motorcycle with the wind in his hair or racing go-carts at G and J Cartway, his laughter echoing through the track. His adventurous spirit was infectious, inspiring all those around him to seize the day and embrace every moment with enthusiasm.

Aside from his love for adventure, Bob was a hardworking individual who found purpose and fulfillment in staying busy. His dedication to his work was unwavering, a testament to his strong work ethic and commitment to excellence.

A graveside service will be held Wednesday, July 3 at 2:15PM at Fairmount Cemetery, Camden.
