Rebecca “Becky” A. (Asbury) Strong
59, of Middletown, went to be with the Lord, Friday, December 25, 2020, surrounded by her family at her home.
She was born March 23, 1961 in Hamilton, to the late John and Reva F. (Barnett) Asbury.
In addition to her parents, Becky was preceded in death by brothers, Jerry and Freddie Asbury; niece, Bianca Hale; and nephew, Rob Hale.
She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Ed Strong; children, Kristi (Matt Louis) Swanger, Eddie Strong, Jeri Strong, and Emili Strong; grandchildren, Jacob Swanger, Mia Scorti, Brooklyn Cain, Kingston Johnson, Bexli Teasley, and Apollo Teasley; siblings, Betty Ballinger, Mary (Gene) Laird, Janice (Charles) Moreland, Corky (Bonnie) Asbury, Athlyn Asbury, Sandy Asbury, Kathy Asbury, Rick (Sandra) Asbury, Karen (Bob) Hale, and Jesse (Cindy) Asbury.
Becky was a selfless person, always putting others before herself and very welcoming. She enjoyed reading her bible, singing karaoke, and making videos of her singing. She loved spending time with her kids, grandkids, and with her sisters. She even went back to school with her daughter so they could get their G.E.D. together. Becky had a knack for decorating and putting things together. She was a foster parent to many children, and was interested in ancestry. She connected family members who would not have known each other without her help. She attended Assembly of God church in Middletown, where she and Ed married in 1979. Lastly, Becky loved being a manager in fashion at the Cincinnati outlet mall.
The family will receive friends Wednesday, December 30 from 12-2PM at BALES’ FUNERAL HOME, Camden. A Celebration of Life will begin at 2PM with Pastor Bobby Reed, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery, Camden.
