Peggy L. Sandlin
Age 61, beloved daughter, sister, friend, and aunt, of Camden, Ohio, died Monday, October 29, 2018 at Vancrest Nursing Home.
She was born December 1, 1956 in Hamilton, Ohio to Gene and Mabel L (McDivitt) Sandlin.
Peggy was a 1976 Graduate of Preble Shawnee High School, and a sweet, lovable friend to everyone she came across. Peggy was a caregiver all her adult life until she became ill. She loved riding around on her scooter. She was known as “Scooter Pie” and “Pork Chop.” Peggy always loved visiting with everyone.
Preceded in death by her mother, Mabel L Sandlin; paternal grandparents, John and Dolly Sandlin; and maternal grandparents, Emmet and Mary (Parks) McDivitt.
Peggy is survived by her dad, Gene Sandlin; two sisters, Teresa K. Rich of Eaton and Mary Alice (Artie) Stowe of Camden; long life companion, Kenny Taylor of Camden; and best friend, Jeanie Koohns. Peggy had no children of her own, but was considered a second Mother to Faye, Wayne, Sheena, Suzie, and Dani. Several nieces and nephews, Greg (Sarah) Stowe and their children, Micheal and Jacob, Ryan (Amy) Rich, and their children, Bryan and Lindsey, Kristi (Brian) Deaton, and their children, Grant, Molli, Jenna, Rhett, and Clark, Bradley (Jennifer) Stowe and their children, Hunter, Hayden, and Hailey, Kendra (Jessie) Hammock and their children Jessie, Sammy, Denver, Madison, and Keegan, Kyle Stowe (Shelby Jones and Carter); many aunts and uncles; and wonderful friends.
The family wishes to thank Fresenius Dialysis Center, Vancrest Nursing Home for all their care, Hospice of Dayton, Camden Emergency Squad, and Preble County Council On Aging.
The family will receive friends Thursday, November 1 from 5PM to 7PM at First Southern Baptist Church, 35 N. Liberty Street, Camden. The Funeral Service will begin at 11AM Friday, November 2 at the church with Pastor Greg Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery, Camden.
