Pearlie C. Kirby
79, of West Elkton, passed away, Saturday, March 9, 2024.
She was born May 18, 1944, in Middletown, to the late Edgar Alfred and Zuda Golden (Peck) Miller.
In addition to her parents, Pearlie was preceded in death by her siblings, Wilma Hart, Rachel Lacy, Edgar LeRoy Miller, Norman Miller, and John Miller.
She is survived by her loving husband of 54 years, Richard Kirby, Jr.; sons, Richard III and Robert Kirby; brothers, Jerry (Jan) and Ronnie (Marilyn) Miller; and sister, Karen Miller.
One of Pearlie's greatest joys in life was her extensive collection of dolls and metal banks. Her home was a treasure trove, a haven for anyone who shared her appreciation for the intricate craftsmanship and diverse beauty of these items.
When she was able, Pearlie was an accomplished seamstress who found fulfillment in the art of sewing. Her nimble fingers worked magic with needle and thread and Pearlie's creations reflected her love for her craft and the joy she found in bringing beauty to the world.
The family will receive friends on Friday, March 15 from 11AM to 1PM at BALES FUNERAL HOME, Camden. The funeral service will begin at 1PM with Pastor Darrell Alexander officiating. Pearlie will be laid to rest at Fairmound Cemetery, West Elkton.
