Michael J. Frazier

age 48, of Somerville, unexpectedly passed away Sunday, August 2, 2026. 

He was born on December 31, 1977, in Oxford to his parents Gary Jerome and Peggy J. (Brown) Frazier. 

Mike was preceded in death by his dad, Gary; his maternal grandparents, Linda and Jimmie Brown; paternal grandmother, Sue Frazier; and several aunts and uncles. Mike is survived by his mom, Peggy; brother, Gary Frazier; paternal grandfather, JR Frazier; son, Paul Weist-Frazier; and many more family and friends. 

He had a natural gift for drawing, something he didn’t need to show off for people to notice. Give Mike a pencil and a little time, and he could bring just about anything to life on paper. It was simply part of who he was. 

Music was another piece of his soul. Mike loved playing the guitar, whether he was sitting alone, lost in the moment, or sharing a tune with someone nearby. There was something comforting about hearing him play, something that made you slow down and just listen. 

In his younger years, Mike enjoyed working on cars. He liked getting his hands dirty, figuring things out, and the satisfaction that came with fixing something that wasn’t quite right. It was never just about the car, it was about the process, the patience, and the pride in doing it himself. 

A visitation will be held Friday, August 7 from 11AM to 1PM at BALES FUNERAL HOME, Camden. The funeral service will begin at 1PM with Pastor Gary Justice officiating. Mike will be laid to rest at Fairmound Cemetery, West Elkton.
