Michael Caudill, age 74 of Eaton, OH., passed peacefully with his family by his side on January 31, 2024. He was born to Bruner and Lula Caudill in Letcher County, Kentucky on April 3, 1949.

Michael was a man of simple pleasures and unwavering devotion to his family. His life was marked by a profound love for grilling out, especially savoring the taste of a perfectly cooked burger, surrounded by the warmth of family and friends. His joy knew no bounds when he could gather his loved ones around a table filled with good food and shared stories. An outdoorsman at heart, Michael found solace in working on the camper and campsite with his son. His hands were skilled, and his attention to detail was evident in the well-maintained spaces he created. Michael reveled in the beauty of nature.

Fishing held a special place in Michael's heart, and he could often be found casting his line, fishing for anything that would bite. The quiet moments by the water, surrounded by nature's beauty, brought him a sense of peace and fulfillment.

Michael was a man of substance, both strong-willed and tender-hearted. His exterior was as hard as steel, forged through the challenges of life, yet his inner warmth and compassion knew no bounds. He was the type of person who would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need. A proud veteran, Michael served in the Army, where he exhibited courage and dedication to his country. He earned a Purple Heart for his sacrifices, a testament to his bravery and selflessness.

In quieter moments, Michael enjoyed staying informed about the world around him. He was a dedicated viewer of CNN, always eager to stay up to date on current events. His curiosity and commitment to knowledge reflected his deep understanding of the world and the importance of staying connected.

Michael is preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife of 16 years; Barbara, his daughter; Michelle Madison, and several siblings. He leaves behind his son; Michael Caudill, stepsons; Jeff (W) Hale, David (Judy) Hale, Michael Shaw, his grandchildren; Devin Caudill, Mason Caudill, Joshua (Alizabeth) Madison, Vincent (Kendra) Madison, Megan (Michael) Stultz, Anthony Shaw, and Mikayla Shaw. His fur-companion; Momma Cat, his siblings; Betty (Jerry) Back, Donna Barker, Mack (Vicky) Caudill, Jerry Caudill, Steve (Linda) Caudill, Linda “Button” Arnold and Sandy (Steve) Efker, along with numerous nieces and nephews.
