Marsha Lynn (Craft) O’Dell
With deep sorrow and loving remembrance, we announce the passing of Marsha, who peacefully made her way to her eternal Home in Heaven on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at the age of 75.
She was born in Middletown on December 1, 1949, to the late Thomas and Christine Craft. Marsha graduated from Preble Shawnee High School, Class of 1967, where she met her high school sweetheart, David Lynn O’Dell. She affectionately called him “Sug,” and they have been married for 50 years.
Marsha is survived by her beloved husband, David O’Dell; brother and his wife, Jerry and Lee Anne Craft; mother-in-law, Donna O’Dell; brother-in-law, Mike O’Dell; and sister-in-law and her husband, Teri and Larry Ivie.
She was known as a shining light, an angel that faced life’s joys and challenges with grace and a generous spirit by those whose lives she touched and had the privilege of knowing Marsha. She had a special gift for making people feel seen, heard, and valued. Her journey here on Earth was marked by love, compassion, kindness, and quiet strength, leaving a legacy of service that will be felt for generations to come.
She will be remembered for her infectious smile, advice that was steady and wise, the ability to make us feel special and important, and a source of comfort and calm. Marsha enjoyed meeting with friends, traveling with her husband, line dancing, and spending time with her friends and family. She had been a secretary/paralegal at Armco/AK Steel and at Frost, Brown, Todd for many years and retired 6 years ago.
Marsha Lynn O’Dell’s life was a beautiful testament to love, generosity, and enduring grace. Though she is no longer with us in body, her spirit will live on in the hearts of those she cherished, and in the many lives she quietly uplifted along the way.
A celebration of Marsha’s life will be held Monday, October 13 from 5-8PM at First Southern Baptist Church, 35 N. Liberty Street, Camden 45311 and on Tuesday, October 14 from 11AM-12PM, also at the church. The funeral service will begin at 12PM with Pastor Greg Jackson officiating. Following the service, she will be laid to rest at Fairmount Cemetery, Camden.
Heaven must’ve needed a special angel because He took a special angel on earth to be in Heaven.
