Marilyn J. (Powell) Feix

May 7, 1932 — April 19, 2021

Marilyn J. Feix

88, of Camden, went to be with the Lord, Monday, April 19, 2021.

She was born May 7, 1932 in Miamisburg, to the late Everett and Ada (Bowman) Powell.

In addition to her parents, Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, James Feix; son, Joe Feix; grandson, Sean Feix; and brother, Paul Powell.

She is survived by her children, Dennis (Karen) Feix, Christa Gambrell, and Kelly Feix; grandchildren, Jennifer (James Hurley) Gambrell, Amy (Brian) Jones, Jimmy (Mindy) Gambrell, Adam (Amanda) Gambrell, Mandy (Dajouir) Cornnielies, and Mallory (Ben) Anspaugh; great grandchildren, Lily, Eliza, Violet, Addison, Isadora, Isabella, Paisley, Tucker, Ellie, Isaiah, Zoey, Zyon, and Zarin; brother, Bill Powell; and sister, Marcia Lockard.

Marilyn was a proud Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Christian, who dedicated her life to her family and to the Lord.  She raised her children and then assisted in raising her grandchildren and then great grandchildren teaching them how to cook, sew and garden.  Marilyn always looked forward to the fall harvest when she spent many hours in her kitchen teaching her family the art of canning and freezing the produce from her garden.  Marilyn was an active member of the local Homemaker's Club.  She also was a 4-H Advisor, Girl Scout Leader and Den Mother for several years where she passed on her knowledge of homemaking to the youth of the community.  Marilyn loved to sew.  She spent countless hours quilting and made sure that each member of her family had a quilt that she had designed and made with love.  Marilyn was a faithful member of the Northside Chapel First Church of God in Camden.  She was very active in the church over the years where she was involved in Bible Study, committees and groups as well as serving as the church secretary for several years.  Marilyn loved her church family just as her own often preparing meals, helping with functions and praying daily for the church and family.

The family will receive friends Friday, April 23 from 11AM to 12PM at Northside Chapel First Church of God, 6820 North Main Street, Camden, 45311.  The funeral service will begin at 12PM at the church with Pastor David Oakley officiating.  Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery, Camden.

Contributions in Marilyn’s memory may be made to the SpinaBifidaAssociation.org in honor of her great grandson Tucker.
