In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her brother, Alan Overholser; nephew, Douglas Overholser; and special brother-in-law, Bob Sorrell
She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Riley Sorrell; children, Scott (Mary) Sorrell, Brenda (Dean) Miller, Rex (Sharon Azzalina) Sorrell, Eric (Sara) Sorrell, Trudy (David) Kendel, and Aaron (Kari) Sorrell; grandchildren, Blain Sorrell, Hannah Sorrell, Riley Sorrell, Noah Sorrell, Brandon (Chelsea) Bunting, Brittany (Abbie) Rutherford, Cody (Brittany) Miller, Veronica (Tyler) Carr, Alysa Sorrell, Claire Sorrell, Brady Sorrell, Travis (Larrin) Sorrell, Ty (Leanna) McGuire, Emily (Michael Bridgeford) Dungan, Trenton Dungan, Tanner Dungan, Mackenzy Kendel, and Caden Kendel; 11 great grandchildren; and special sister-in-law, Kay Sorrell.
Linda had been a long-time resident of Dixon Township living on a farm. She was most known for her talents as a cook and seamstress. There were often times a year-long waiting list for her services at re-upholstering furniture. The potato salad she made by the pounds for every cook-out and carry-in will forever be missed. She had worked at Dixon-Israel School in the cafeteria where she will fondly be remembered as the nicest lunch-lady. Linda had also worked at Electracap and Evenflow as a seamstress. She had been a faithful member of the Fairhaven Community Church and Eastern Star (Camden Lodge).
The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 17 from 4-8PM at BALES FUNERAL HOME, Camden. The funeral service will be held Thursday, November 18 at 11AM at the funeral home with Pastor Ralph Gutowski and Pastor Rich Studebaker officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery, Camden.
