Linda F. Dishman
Age 73, of Camden-West Elkton Road, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, October 31, 2026.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd Day and Elsie White; and son, Travis Day.
Linda is survived by her husband of 33 years, Harold Dishman; son, Brian (Gerri) Day; stepchildren, Lisa Haven, Lois Allen, Laura Mink, and Harold “JR” Dishman; grandchildren, Ashley Day and Brian Day, Jr.; great grandchildren, Xavier Day, Xander Crawford, and Jill Crawford; and many more family and friends.
Linda spent forty years as a baker at MCL Cafeteria in Richmond, where she retired after a career filled with flour-dusted aprons and early mornings. Her pies were legendary, and countless guests left the cafeteria with a smile thanks to her handiwork. Her talent didn’t stay in the kitchen at work, either. Linda made a birthday cake for every member of her family on their special day, and no one ever went without one. Her cakes and pies were baked with love, and it showed in every bite.
When she wasn’t baking, Linda could often be found at the bingo hall, where she enjoyed the thrill of the game and the company of friends.
Above all, Linda was always looking for the next good laugh. Those who loved her will never forget the day the grill blew up, a story she could hardly tell without laughing until her belly ached. Her laughter was contagious, and it brightened every room she entered.
A graveside service will be held Monday, November 9 at 2PM at Fairmound Cemetery, West Elkton.
