LaVerna I. Bryant

September 10, 1935 — October 18, 2025

formerly of Preble County

LaVerna Irene (Craig) Bryant

90, formerly of Preble County, went Home to be with the Lord, Saturday, October 18, 2025.

She was born in Hamilton on September 10, 1935, to the late Chester W. and Mildred E. (Reece) Craig.

In addition to her parents, LaVerna was preceded in death by her siblings, Mary Craig, Della Wright, and James Craig; husband, John Bryant; and former husband and father of her daughters, Keith L. Withrow.

She is survived by her daughters, Brenda E. Clark of Eaton and Debra M. Dotson and husband Mark of Centerville; grandchildren, Rachel Dotson, Faith Clark (Amanda), Joshua Dotson, Hope Clark-Burrell (Spencer), and Wesley Clark (Bruce); great grandchildren, Ethan Burrell, Leo Dotson, Ayla Glaze, and Sylas Glaze.

LaVerna’s life was a beautiful tapestry of faith, love, and simple joys. She and her former husband, Keith, followed their hearts—and God’s call—as missionaries in Mexico, where they served side by side with their daughters, Debra and Brenda. Their time there was filled with purpose and adventure, and LaVerna’s kind spirit touched the lives of many people she met along the way.

Back home, LaVerna’s hands were always busy creating something beautiful. With her crochet hook and a basket of yarn, she could turn a quiet evening into a masterpiece, crafting Afghan blankets that warmed not just bodies, but hearts. Her creations became family treasures—each stitch a reflection of her patience, care, and love.

LaVerna also had a special gift for gathering people around the table. No one could resist her homemade spaghetti and meatballs or her famous tacos; both made with that unmistakable dash of LaVerna’s love. Family dinners were her favorite times—filled with laughter, stories, and the kind of comfort only her cooking could bring.

At her side, always, were her beloved dogs—Cocoa, Waffle, and her favorite, Sky. They were her loyal companions, filling her days with joy and companionship.

A visitation will be held Monday, October 27 from 1PM to 2PM at Hope Church, 8111 US 127, Camden, 45311. The funeral service will begin at 2PM with Pastor Richard McIntosh officiating and interment to follow at Fairmount Cemetery, Camden.
