Larry Prichard
68, of Middletown, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 1, 2026.
He was born December 5, 1957, in Middletown, to the late Lawrence “Gordon” and Flora “Marie” (Clark) Prichard.
In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Kimberly Prichard, and brother, Barry Prichard.
He is survived by his daughter, Petrina (Nash) Skiles; son, Adam (Siera) Prichard; grandchildren, Quincey and Elijah Helvey, Payton and Cooper Skiles; Cole, Bentley, and Nolan Minor, and Benjamin Prichard; sister, Carla Prichard; fiancée, Janet Grey; and many more family and friends.
A man who found his peace, his purpose, and his faith not within four walls, but beneath the open sky. For Larry, the woods was his church. Among the towering trees and quiet hills, especially in the hills of Kentucky, he felt closest to God and most at home. Squirrel hunting wasn’t just a pastime for him; it was a tradition, a connection to nature, and a reflection of who he was at his core.
When Larry wasn’t in the woods, he rarely sat still. If there was a sport being played, chances are Larry had already played it—or was on his way to join in. He loved a good round of golf, could still step onto a softball field when his body allowed, and when it came to cornhole, there was no question, Larry was a master. He played to win, but more importantly, he played for the camaraderie, the laughter, and the simple joy of being together.
Larry’s competitive spirit was matched by his love of people. Sports, like the outdoors, were another way he connected, bringing friends and family together, creating memories that will live on long after the games have ended.
A visitation will be held Saturday, January 10 from 12PM to 1PM at Unity Baptist Church, 5960 Trenton Franklin Rd, Middletown, OH 45042. The funeral service will begin at 1PM with Pastor Bobby Reed officiating.
