Kathie Robinson

75, of Camden, suddenly passed away Saturday, May 24, 2025.

She was born June 2, 1949, to the late Theodore K. and Joyce M. (Larsh) Kozuszek.

In addition to her parents, Kathie was preceded in death by a brother, Todd M. Kozuszek.

She is survived by her sons, James Robinson and Jacob (Laura) Robinson; granddaughters, Clara and Cassie; and siblings, Darlene Hicks, Nancy Liles, Kristine Aregood, Paul Kozuszek, and Theodore Kozuszek, Jr.

Kathie was a woman whose heart was as expansive as the countryside she so deeply loved. A true matriarch, Kathie guided her family with strength, quiet wisdom, and a love that embraced all, especially the four-legged souls that crossed her path.

Kathie had a tender place in her heart for animals, especially the dogs she rescued and cherished as family. Her home was a haven for those in need of kindness. She was also an avid horsewoman, whose passion for riding began in her youth and blossomed into a lifelong devotion. Kathie’s skills in horsemanship were not hers alone, she generously shared her knowledge with her siblings, ensuring that the legacy of her love for horses would live on through those she nurtured and mentored.

Kathie found peace in the outdoors. Whether tending to her garden or sitting quietly on the back porch of her beloved old country home, she found serenity in nature’s simple pleasures. Watching hummingbirds flit through the air became one of her most cherished pastimes—a reminder of life’s delicate beauty and grace.

Forty-four years ago, Kathie discovered Topsail Island, North Carolina, and from the moment her feet touched its sand, she knew she had found her Happy Place. That stretch of coastline became the backdrop for decades of family traditions and some of the most cherished memories of their lives. What started as a personal sanctuary soon became a shared haven, as her siblings, their children, and even her beloved mother joined in the annual pilgrimage. Now, a second generation continues the tradition, guided by Kathie’s spirit, her laughter echoing in the sea breeze.

Above all else, Kathie’s greatest source of joy came from her granddaughters. She was their number one fan, their unwavering cheerleader, and their safe place. Watching them play sports filled her with pride and happiness beyond measure. Her love for them was fierce and unconditional, and her spirit will live on in every game, every goal, and every victory they achieve.
