Judy Ditmyer
Age 77, of Gratis Township, passed away Friday, October 30, 2026.
She was born March 28, 1949, in Middletown, to the late Horace W. and Pearl (Dennis) Hunter.
In addition to her parents, Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Gary Ditmyer; and brother, Ron Hunter.
She is survived by her son, Jarrett Williams; and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Judy was the kind of fan every team hopes to have. A devoted supporter of the Kansas City Chiefs, she bled red and gold every fall Sunday, and she never doubted for a second that Patrick Mahomes could pull off the impossible. She celebrated every touchdown, every comeback, and every Super Bowl victory as though she’d been on the sideline herself.
When the roar of the NFL season faded, Judy turned up the volume on another passion: drag racing. She was a dedicated fan of NHRA legend John Force, admiring his fearless spirit, his showmanship, and his refusal to ever back down from a challenge. Judy appreciated anyone who gave life everything they had, and she saw a bit of that in the Funny Car champion.
She also held court, in spirit at least, alongside Judge Judy. Judy loved watching the no-nonsense judge hand down verdicts, and she rarely missed an episode. She had little patience for excuses and plenty of respect for honesty, a philosophy she carried through her own life.
Her favorite place to be was the garage, settled in with the door open, watching the world go by, a game or race playing in the background. It was her sanctuary, her front-row seat, and the place where many of the best conversations happened.
A visitation will be held Wednesday, November 11 from 11AM to 1PM at BALES FUNERAL HOME, Camden. The funeral service will begin at 1PM with Pastor Keith Risner officiating.
