Johnny R. Farley

age 71, passed away peacefully with his loved ones by his side on Thursday, July 2, 2026.

He was born on August 27, 1954, in Harlan, Kentucky, to the late Henry Farley Jr. and Mary (Patterson) Farley.

Johnny was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, James Jefferson Farley, Kelly Farley, and Henry Jefferson Farley; and his sisters, Shirley Adkins and Wilma Farley.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sharyn (Schultz) Farley; his children, Michael (Jenny) Farley, Johnny Ray Farley Jr., Kenneth Ray (Jamie) Farley, Chance Steven Farley, Christina (Gary) Jenkins, Angela (Greg) Maham, and Timothy (Michelle) Gentile; his siblings, Patricia (David) Shushereba, Bobby Farley, and Debra Farley; along with several grandchildren, nieces, and nephews who will miss him dearly.

Johnny was a skilled welder who took great pride in his work. He enjoyed spending time at the Moose, camping, and fishing. He had a love for horror movies and sci-fi shows and was known to be a great cook. Johnny will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
