REED, James “Jim” R.
Age 66, of Camden, went to be with the Lord Tuesday January 24, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.
He was born March 17, 1950 in Harlan, KY to the late Raymond and Ruby Reed.
Jim is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Debbie; son, Randy (Terri) Reed; daughter, Shawnda (Brian) Quillen; 6 grandchildren, Whitney Reed, and Kortney, Sidney, Destiney, Brittney, and Brenden Quillen; siblings, Clarence (Brenda) Reed, Ruth Moore, Andrew (Lois) Reed, Larry (Joyce) Reed, Easter (Esaw) Saylor, Vivian (Don) Rigney, Glenda Collins, Raymond Reed, Jr., and Lois “Susie” Reed; and many more family and friends.
He was an avid UK Wildcat fan and OU Sooner, enjoyed old cars and Nascar, was a very appreciative person with great sense humor. A loving husband, father and papaw and leaves behind a lasting legacy in his family.
There will be a visitation for immediate family on Monday January 30 from 11AM to 1PM at Bales’ Funeral Home (formerly Nein Funeral Home), Camden. A funeral service for the family will begin at 1PM with Chaplain Violeta Gwynn officiating. Burial will follow the service at Fairmound Cemetery, West Elkton.
