WOOD, James L. Sr.
age 80, of Eaton, formerly Camden, passed away Sunday December 25, 2016 at Mercy Hospital, Fairfield.
He was born July 1, 1936 in Dayton to the late Medgitt and Garnett Wood.
Jim was preceded in death by his parents; son, Lee; granddaughters, Tara and Josey Wood; wife, Mary; brothers, Woody and Mike; and step-son, Jamie Smith.
He is survived by his wife, Phyllis; daughter, Kelly (Chet) Koronich; grandchildren, Chelsey and Kody Koronich and Alex (Danielle) Norvell; great granddaughter, Tara Lynn; step-children, Tina (Dwight) Harris, Deron (Nicole) Smith, Heather Smith, and Rodney Smith; siblings, Betty Carter, Donald (Diana), Joseph (Eunice), Robert (Juanita), Janet Madison, and Paul; and numerous nieces, nephews, step-grandchildren, family, and friends.
Jim enjoyed fishing and golfing, loved reading a good book, and will be remembered by his infectious laughing.
A visitation will be held Wednesday December 28 from 5pm to 7pm at BALES’ FUNERAL HOME, Camden (formerly Nein Funeral Home), and Thursday December 29 from 11am to 12pm at Fairhaven Community Church, 6585 Israel Somers Rd, Camden, 45311. The funeral service will begin at 12pm with Pastor Richard Studebaker officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery, Camden.
