G.V. Herald

age 82, of Bedford, Kentucky, formerly Somerville, went to be with the Lord Tuesday, December 8, 2020.

He was a loving father and grandfather, a devoted family man, and thought the world of his grand kids. G.V. was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and a farmer and truckdriver all his life.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Herald; sons, Mitch and Robbie Herald; a brother, JB Herald; and sister, Wilma Smith.

G.V. is survived by his sons, Greg, Darin (Megan), Mike, and Kevin; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; beloved sister, Pauline (Herald) Bates; and many more family and friends.

The family will receive friends Friday, December 11 from 11AM to 12PM at BALES’ FUNERAL HOME, 249 N. Main St., Camden 45311 with a funeral service to begin at 12PM. Burial will follow at Somerville Cemetery, Somerville.
