Gary Finkbine

60, of Fairhaven, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, July 20, 2024.

He was born August 3, 1963, in Oxford, to Marshall E. and Ruby M. (Gabbard) Finkbine.

Gary was preceded in death by his mom, Ruby.

He is survived by his dad, Marshall (Sandy) Finkbine; significant other, Dawna Murray; daughter, Misty (Anthony) Banks; son, Turner Finkbine; grandchildren, George Volker VI and Ashlynn Volker; brothers, Michael (Karen) Finkbine and Darin Finkbine; special friends, Rodney Roberts and Linda Finkbine; niece and nephew, Michaela and Ty Finkbine; and many more family and friends.

Gary's first love was his motorcycle, and he spent countless hours riding and maintaining it. The open road was where he found his freedom and peace, often sharing stories of his adventures with friends and family.

Fishing was another cherished pastime for Gary. He found serenity by the water, casting lines and patiently waiting for the perfect catch. His knowledge and love for the sport were evident to all who joined him on these outings.

Gary was also renowned for his exceptional abilities to fix cars. Whether it was a minor repair or a major overhaul, he approached each challenge with skill and dedication. His garage was always open to friends, neighbors, and anyone in need of assistance, reflecting his generous spirit.

Gary will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His legacy of kindness, skill, and passion will live on in the hearts of those he touched. May he rest in peace, forever riding the open road and fishing in tranquil waters.

A visitation will be held Wednesday, July 24 from 10AM to 12PM at the Somerville Community Church, 207 Walnut Street, Somerville 45064. The funeral service will begin at 12PM with Pastor Mark Crary officiating and burial to follow at Somerville Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Gary’s memory may be made to the Somerville Community Church.
