Gabriel Michael Grill was born on September 13, 2016 from Eaton Ohio. He passed peacefully in his Mommy's arms to his new home in Heaven July 31, 2017.
Gabriel is survived by his Mommy and Daddy ( Lindsey and Joshua Grill ) twin brother Matthew and big sisters Alexis and Rylee, Grandparents, Great Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles and cousins.
Gabriel was born with semi-lobar holoprosencephaly. He was not expected to live past birth, but God granted him 10 wonderful months with his family. He strived in areas Doctors found impossible. Sweet Gabe was an inspiration. He showed Gods perfecting work. It was amazing to see him accomplish even the tiniest goals. He learned how to suck on a binky, grasp toys on his play mat, hold his head up on his own and he showed off his skill to guilt us when we would lay him down. ( He was so good at that ) His little smile would light up our days. Even the smallest of accomplishments such as a coo or a responsive smile was breath taking. He loved to snuggle on your shoulder where he learned quite quickly how to nestle in close. He loved to snuggle with his twin brother Matthew, so precious it was to see them hold hands even at birth. His love for music was profound. Music was the one thing that could calm him quickly. The sound of familiar voices put a calmness within him that also brought many smiles.
Gabriel was a very strong little boy. He had many medical challenges he had to face. Within a day of his birth the symptoms from the semi-lobar holoprosencephaly began. He started to have mild seizures, sadly that was just the beginning. It seemed like every time we went to the Doctor something else was wrong. He was diagnosed with Diabetes Insipidus, he couldn't control his body temperature, he also had a very hard time feeding. All of these different things required 24/7 care. May 6th, 2017 he was admitted to Cincinnati Childrens after he had aspirated from just one spit up. It was a downhill battle. He had good days and bad, but his little body got tired.
He spread his wings to the Lord on July 31, 2017 in the arms of his mommy as he was nestled in close on her shoulder.
