Eula M. (Meyer) Alford
88, of Eaton, formerly Greenville, went to be with the Lord, Friday, January 30, 2026.
She was born January 26, 1938, in Greenville, to the late Carl W. and Margaret E. (Gibson) Meyer.
In addition to her parents, Eula was preceded in death by her husbands, Henry “Hank” Byers and Larry Alford; son, Tim Byers; and granddaughter, Andrea Ferryman.
She is survived by her son, Rodney Byers; daughter, Debra (Randall) Swartwout; grandchildren, Chris (Jessica) Byers, Jessica (Rob) Brock, Elizabeth (Chad) Parks, Chelcie (Paul) Federinko, and Brianna (Mason) Niccum; great grandchildren, Matthew, Benjamin, Emma, Izzy, Allison, and Delilah; sisters, Janice (Jim) Denlinger and Bonnie (Charlie) Mori; and many more family and friends.
After retiring, Eula embraced one of her greatest joys, traveling alongside her devoted husband, Hank. Together, they created countless memories on the open road in their motorhome, spending summers in the wide-open beauty of Montana, winters under the warm Arizona sun, and always returning home in the spring. Those trips weren’t just about the destinations, but about the friendships formed along the way, as Eula never met a stranger and truly loved connecting with new people.
Eula was also a faithful member of Fairhaven Community Church, where her quiet devotion and caring presence touched many. She took pride in being part of the Camden Family Lions Club, always willing to give back and support her community in meaningful ways.
A visitation will be held Saturday, February 7 from 2PM to 3PM at PREBLE MEMORY GARDENS FUNERAL CENTER, West Alexandria. The memorial service will begin at 3PM with Pastor Rich Studebaker officiating.
