Donna C. Cronan
83, of Camden, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, August 6, 2025.
She was born November 29, 1941, in Bethel, Ohio, to the late Richard J. and Elizabeth A. (Birgam) Smith.
In addition to her parents, Donna was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Robert “Bob” Cronan; stepmother, Evelyn Smith; and sisters, Darlene Stenicka and Beverly Vogt.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Robert C. and Snow Cronan of Carlisle and Donald W. Cronan of Camden; 5 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; and stepbrother, Kenny Disher.
Donna will be remembered as a woman whose hands and heart were never still when it came to caring for those she loved. She found joy in creating beautiful things, especially with her sewing machine. One year, she poured her creativity and love into making handmade Barbie clothing for friends and family.
Donna was also a talented bowler, with a skill so impressive she was once invited to join the Women’s Professional Bowling circuit. While the honor was great, she declined the opportunity, choosing instead to devote her time to the people who mattered most, her family.
Above all else, Donna was a devoted wife and loving mother who understood the true value of family. She believed that love, laughter, and time spent together were life’s greatest treasures. Her unwavering devotion, warm spirit, and gentle wisdom will forever be a part of those who had the privilege to know her.
A visitation will be held Friday, August 15 from 5-6PM at BALES FUNERAL HOME, Camden. The funeral service will begin at 6PM with Chaplain Anthony Peyton officiating, Donna will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband, Bob, at Fairmount Cemetery.
