Connie Jo Wyatt

With broken hearts, her family announces her passing.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles E. and Mary E. “Liz” (Warner) Wyatt, and brother-in-law, Mark Sherman.

Connie Jo is survived by her siblings, Charles Wyatt and his wife, Cheryl, Gary Wyatt and his wife, Darlene, Jeff Wyatt and his wife, Vernetta, Glenn “Smokey” Wyatt and his wife, Wendy, Caren Sherman, Randy Wyatt and his wife, Pam, and Michael Wyatt and his wife, Brigette; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.

Connie Jo helped raise her younger siblings. She was a second mother to them. She was always there to wipe a tear, and help with anything they needed.

She was “Aunt Connie” to so many nieces and nephews that she helped raise over the years.

Connie Jo was the eldest daughter, and the third born, out of eight kids.  She was always there to help babysit her siblings, and later, her nieces and nephews.

Connie Jo was a hard worker. She worked for many years at Capital Varsity, and many more at Miami University where she retired in 2021.

Connie Jo probably didn’t realize how much she was loved by her family and all of those she came into contact with. If you have one of her hand-made quilts, then you know how kind and generous she was.

Connie Jo will be laid to rest at Somerville Cemetery next to her mother and father.
