Age 88, of Middletown, passed away Monday February 20, 2017.
She was born July 3, 1928 in Lakeville, Kentucky to the late Jasper Shelby and Emily Pricey (May) Wallen.
Christine was preceded in death by her husband, Donald E. Deaton; son-in-law, Gary W. Scearce; and grandson, Larry Scearce.
She is survived by her daughter, Lillie Scearce; son, Stanley E. (Lisa) Deaton; 8 grandsons, Michael (Tara) Bowman, Stanley (Dawn) Deaton, Jr., Adam (Tara) Deaton, Chad (Briana) Deaton, Jacob Scearce, Gary (Linda) Scearce, Terry Scearce, and Russell Scearce; 15 great grandchildren, Shana, Abby, Chloe, Austin, Roxi, Payton, Christian, Shyanne, Adam, Ella, Alannah, Kaiden, Lil Russ, Kendra, and Travis; 2 great-great grandchildren, Christian and Skylar; sister, Frances Salyers; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Christine was a homemaker, avid gardener, and enjoyed crochet and playing cards. She had a strong Christian faith and attended Enterprise Baptist Church.
The family would like to give a special thank you to the nursing staff and administration of Carlisle Manor for the wonderful care given to Christine.
The family will receive friends Friday February 24 from 10AM to 11AM at BALES’ FUNERAL HOME, (formerly Nein Funeral Home) Camden. The service will begin at 11AM with Pastor Benny J. Spencer officiating. Burial will follow at Butler County Memorial Park, Trenton.
