Betty Jo Newton
Age 58, of Somerville, laid to rest Tuesday October 3, 2017 after a long battle with cancer.
Betty Jo was born April 4, 1959 in Lexington, Kentucky to the late Harry and Molly Combs.
She is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Ralph M.; sons, Ralph D., Jason K. (Stephanie), and Joseph Michael Newton; step-children, Michael T. Newton and Michelle Pole; grandchildren, Breawna Knight, and Seth, Jacob, Eli, and Lucas Newton; step-grandchildren, Adam, John, Tyler, Chelsea, Linzy, Zack, Kyle, and Shawntae; sister, Peggy Stidham; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Betty Jo collected birdhouses, loved cats (had over 30 at one point), enjoyed listening to country music, treasured spending time with her grandbabies, and was a fan of flea markets, yard sales, and the Little Shoppe of Sharing.
A visitation will be held Monday October 9 from 12PM to 1PM at the BALES’ FUNERAL HOME (formerly the Nein Funeral Home), Camden, with the funeral service to begin at 1PM. Burial will follow at Somerville Cemetery, Somerville.
