Barbara “BJ” Frost

72, of Camden, went to be with the Lord, Wednesday, December 13, 2023.

She was born August 3, 1951, in Dayton, to the late Eugene W. and Christine (Spaw) Denham.

In addition to her parents, BJ was preceded in death by son-in-law, George Deaton; father-in-law, Charles Frost; and canine companion, Buck.

She is survived by her husband, Brian Frost; daughters, Lori (Nick) Fugate, Lisa (Andy) Meadors, and Leslie (Josh) Frost; grandchildren, Dustin, Zach (Megan), Bubby, Kurstin, Hunter, and Lizzie; bonus grandchildren, Wes and Brooke; 3 great grandchildren; 5 bonus great grandchildren; sister, Nancy Stover; brother and sister-in-law, Greg and Gail Frost; many nieces and nephews; canine companion, Jack; and many more family and friends.

She retired from Preble Shawnee Schools after years of unwavering commitment as a custodian.  Colleagues remember her as someone who brightened the hallways with her infectious smile and warm presence.  One of BJ's greatest pleasures in life was the family vacations she cherished, especially those spent in Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Surrounded by the beauty of the Smoky Mountains, BJ found solace and happiness in the company of her loved ones. Whether exploring the scenic landscapes or simply enjoying each other's company, these moments in Gatlinburg held a special place in her heart.  BJ's true joy, however, lay in the time she spent with her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, always eager to lend a helping hand or offer a kind word. Her love and support were unwavering, creating a strong foundation for her family to thrive.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the Camden-Somers EMS.

A visitation will be held on Monday, December 18 from 11AM to 1PM at BALES FUNERAL HOME, Camden.  The funeral service will begin at 1PM with Bryan Plaugher officiating.  Burial will follow at Fairmount Cemetery, Camden.
