We say goodbye to a remarkable man who lived his entire life on the land he loved. Born and raised on the very farm that nurtured him, he returned to the embrace of his roots, passing away peacefully surrounded by the familiar sights and sounds he cherished.  Robert resided with his daughter for his last three months on the same property.

As a dairy farmer, Robert's life was a tribute to hard work and dedication. The rolling hills and fertile pastures were not only his livelihood but also his sanctuary. With a profound respect for nature, he cared for his herd with unwavering compassion, ensuring their well-being was always his top priority.

Beyond the fields, Robert was a man who cherished friendship. He had a heart of gold that attracted people from all walks of life. Many will remember him for his genuine warmth, ready smile, and a hearty laugh that could fill a room with joy.

Aside from farming and friendship, Robert had two great passions in life. One was woodworking, a skill he honed over the years, crafting beautiful and intricate pieces. Each creation told a story, reflecting his passion and dedication to his craft.

For 20 years, Robert graced the Treasure Isle Flea Market with his presence, offering a delightful array of collectibles that captured the hearts of visitors and collectors alike. His booth was a treasure trove of memories, filled with carefully curated items that held stories of their own.

A visitation will be held Saturday, July 22 from 11AM to 1PM at BALES FUNERAL HOME, Camden.  The funeral service will begin at 1PM with Pastor Scott Spencer officiating.  Robert will be laid to rest at Fairmound Cemetery in West Elkton, beside his wife, Ethel.
