Black Walnut Festival
Each October, downtown Camden comes alive for the annual Black Walnut Festival, a celebration of community spirit and small-town tradition. Always held the third full weekend in October, the festival welcomes more than 8,000 visitors each day to enjoy food, music, crafts, and fun for all ages.
The streets are filled with over 120 local vendors offering handmade crafts, seasonal décor, and unique gifts. Food lovers can explore 25 different food booths serving favorites such as BBQ, funnel cakes, and the festival’s signature black walnut ice cream. Visitors can also browse local art displays, participate in raffles, or pick up a bag of freshly gathered walnuts.
Entertainment fills the weekend with live music on two stages, a Car and Truck Show, and A Great Big Parade that brings color and excitement through the heart of Camden. Families will find plenty to enjoy with the Kid Zone, Kiddie Tractor Pull, games, train rides, and face painting.
The Black Walnut Festival offers a perfect way to experience the beauty of fall in Preble County. With free admission and accessible parking near Town Hall, everyone is invited to come out and share in a weekend full of laughter, good food, and community pride.
